Job Description For Bosch Senior Engineer
This position is critical in managing and overseeing daily maintenance operations on the factory floor to ensure uninterrupted machine and equipment availability. The Senior Engineer will lead a team of maintenance professionals to maintain machine reliability, efficiency, and compliance with quality and safety standards essential for production targets. Managing maintenance schedules, ensuring timely repair and preventive maintenance, and coordinating with cross-functional departments for smooth operations are key aspects of this role. The position requires working on a rotating 3-shift basis to provide effective support across all production hours.
Qualifications Required For Bosch Senior Engineer
- Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering (EEE).
- A minimum of 3 to 4 years of hands-on experience in machine maintenance, preferably in assembly line environments where accuracy and uptime are vital.
- Experience with electrical and electronic equipment maintenance in industrial settings is preferred.
Key Responsibilities For Bosch Senior Engineer
- Conduct timely repairs and maintenance to resolve issues found during inspections or through troubleshooting.
- Regularly compile and submit comprehensive reports on maintenance activities, machine status, and repair progress to all relevant stakeholders.
- Monitor and evaluate key performance indicators (KPIs) such as Mean Time Between Failures (MTBF), Mean Time To Repair (MTTR), and Planned Maintenance Intervention (PMI) completions.
- Manage spare parts inventory meticulously, tracking consumption patterns and initiating procurement to ensure availability.
- Distribute maintenance tasks efficiently among team members based on their skill sets, workload, and equipment requirements.
- Plan and conduct regular inspections to identify early signs of wear or malfunction and implement corrective measures proactively.
- Provide expert troubleshooting and diagnostic support for complex machine issues in collaboration with the maintenance team.
- Engage actively in Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) programmes aimed at improving overall equipment effectiveness.
- Maintain detailed documentation of maintenance schedules, repair histories, and analyse trends to identify areas for continuous improvement.
- Explore and drive digitalisation initiatives and smart automation projects that contribute to cost reduction and process optimisation.
