About the Role
We are looking for a Software Engineer with expertise in frontend and backend automation. You will play a key role in maintaining the quality and performance of our web applications across a variety of devices and browsers. You will own the testing framework, collaborate across multiple functions, and drive automation standards across engineering

Roles and Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain frontend and API automation frameworks using Playwright or Selenium
- Derive and execute test cases from PRDs and ERDs with focus on UI workflows and client-side logic
- Write and execute advanced SQL queries for test validations and data setup
- Collaborate with developers, QA analysts, and system engineers to define test strategies
- Implement API tests using tools such as Postman, Rest Assured, Playwright API, or Jest
- Validate RESTful API integrations and service behaviors
- Identify and mitigate risks related to frontend issues including rendering and cross-browser bugs
- Continuously improve functional, regression, sanity, and end-to-end UI test automation coverage
Skills and Qualifications
- Strong experience with Playwright (UI & API), Selenium, Postman, Rest Assured, or Jest
- Proficient in JavaScript or working in a Node.js environment
- Experience debugging UI issues across browsers and environments
- Ability to write complex SQL queries for backend verification
- Capable of translating product and technical documentation into automated test cases
- Familiar with Git, CI/CD pipelines, and test reporting tools
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
- Self-driven and comfortable working in agile, fast-paced teams
- Bonus: Knowledge of performance testing
