Qualcomm Job Overview
As a Software Test Engineer at Qualcomm, you will contribute to the design, development, validation, and testing of software that powers cutting-edge products. This role involves working across multiple teams to develop and implement test plans for embedded software, cloud applications, system algorithms, and automation tools.
Qualcomm Job Responsibilities
- Assist in designing, developing, and modifying test cases for a variety of software platforms
- Implement basic test plans, test scripts, and procedures to identify defects
- Develop and execute functional tests for features to ensure high-quality output
- Document and analyze software defects in collaboration with project teams
- Support the development of test automation scripts to improve productivity
- Work under supervision with an emphasis on learning and growing within the role
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field
Preferred Qualifications
- Master’s degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field
- 1+ year of academic or professional experience in one or more programming languages (C, C++, Java, Python, etc.)
- 1+ year of experience in software or system testing, test automation, or using tools such as source code control systems, CI/CD tools, and bug tracking systems
