Position Summary

Boeing invites applications for the role of Associate Data Analyst – Technology Asset Management based in Bengaluru. This position plays a critical role in the Technology Governance and Optimization team, focusing on the accurate management and validation of Information Technology (IT) and Operational Technology (OT) asset data.

The Associate Data Analyst will serve as the primary contact for all hardware asset data updates and corrections, ensuring the asset management system reflects the most accurate and current information. The role requires active coordination with internal stakeholders to maintain and refine asset records inside ServiceNow, a widely used IT service management (ITSM) tool. Additionally, the analyst supports audits, manages software license harvesting from exiting users, and trains team members on proper asset management procedures.

Detailed Responsibilities

Primary ResponsibilitiesDescription
Asset Data MaintenanceEnsure accurate and up-to-date asset records are maintained in the asset management system.
Point of ContactAct as the primary interface for all updates and corrections related to IT and OT hardware assets.
CollaborationCoordinate with cross-functional teams to create, update, and modify asset records in ServiceNow.
Asset Data RefinementPartner with stakeholders to refine and standardize the required fields in the asset database.
ValidationPerform ownership and validation of asset statuses, ensuring assets move from in-stock to deployed accurately.
User Query SupportRespond promptly to queries related to IT and OT assets from users and stakeholders.
Onboarding and Offboarding CoordinationLiaise with HR to collect onboarding and terminating user lists, validating entry and exit of IT assets accordingly.
Asset Audit ParticipationSupport and participate in IT and OT asset audits conducted by the Technology Asset Management (TAM) team.
Software License ManagementManage the harvesting process of software licenses from users leaving the organization.
Asset Disposal CoordinationCoordinate with IT technical teams across multiple locations for asset disposal and ensure the disposal is updated in the asset database.
Training DeliveryConduct training sessions for IT technical teams on correct asset entry and data management procedures in ServiceNow.
CMDB Process AwarenessMaintain active awareness of Configuration Management Database (CMDB) processes and collaborate with the CMDB team to ensure alignment of asset and Configuration Item (CI) data for accurate tracking and reporting.

Basic Qualifications

  • Strong knowledge and demonstrable hands-on experience in Technology Asset Management best practices and processes.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, enabling effective collaboration and training delivery.
  • Proven ability to take initiative and execute tasks independently with minimal supervision.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline.
  • Minimum of 4 years’ experience in Technology Asset Management roles.
  • Proficiency in IT Service Management (ITSM) platforms, with notable expertise in ServiceNow.

Education & Experience

  • Typically, candidates hold a Bachelor’s degree combined with 4 or more years of relevant work experience.
  • Alternatively, a Master’s degree with 3 or more years of related experience may be considered equivalent.
