Design Mechanical Engineer – Job Purpose
The Design Mechanical Engineer will be responsible for creating new designs, improving manufacturing processes of reciprocating engines, and providing innovative solutions that meet customer and dealer requirements. This role demands collaboration across multiple functions including marketing, manufacturing, and purchasing.

Key Responsibilities
- Create new designs and resolve issues in manufacturing or building sequences.
- Ensure design acceptance and readiness for manufacturing.
- Adopt new design methods for efficiency, cost reduction, and quality improvements.
- Collaborate with marketing, purchasing, and manufacturing teams to meet customer and dealer needs.
- Communicate efficiently in design reviews and presentations.
- Ensure compliance with industry regulations, standards, and company policies.
- Develop product-testing procedures and assist in the selection of appropriate tools and environments.
- Draft and write specifications for engineering practices and assist in problem resolution.
Required Qualifications & Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent experience (minimum 5 years).
- Strong knowledge of component design and machining.
- Demonstrated problem-solving skills and ability to work in a global collaborative environment.
Preferred Candidate Profile
- 8+ years of engineering experience.
- Experience in reciprocating engine component design.
- Polished communication and presentation skills to a director-level audience.
