Role Overview
Hero MotoCorp is inviting applications for the position of Technical Support – Fabrication at its state-of-the-art Research and Development Centre in Jaipur, Rajasthan. This role is designed for purpose-driven professionals who have expertise in fabrication, welding, and sheet metal processes.
As part of the R&D – Jaipur team, the selected candidate will support development and manufacturing by ensuring that parts and prototypes meet design specifications, are manufacturable, and can be produced consistently with world-class standards. The role also includes providing feedback to design teams regarding manufacturability, tooling feasibility, and process efficiency during the early stages of product design.

Key Responsibilities
Daily Work Activities
- Operating and handling sheet metal machines such as Hydraulic Press, Press Brake, and Shearing Machines with a strong emphasis on safety and efficiency.
- Manufacturing of prototype parts and new model components for R&D projects.
- Supporting day-to-day operations in Fixturing, Tooling, Quality checks, and ensuring on-time delivery of parts.
- Systematic documentation of daily tasks, including work performed, problems identified, corrective actions taken, and machine utilisation.
Technical Support & Fabrication Duties
- Managing welding operations for key two-wheeler components such as fuel tanks, frames, and swing arms.
- Hands-on expertise in MIG, TIG, Robotic Welding, Spot Welding, and Seam Welding techniques.
- Fabrication of sheet metal and tubular parts; setting up processes for mass production readiness.
- Design knowledge of fixtures, tooling, soft tools, and inspection equipment and making corrections when required.
- Providing structured feedback to design engineers on part manufacturability and feasibility during prototyping stages.
- Exposure to sheet metal laser cutting processes and effective weld quality management.
