Caterpillar Hiring 2025 – Key Responsibilities
As a Senior Associate Engineer, you will be responsible for the end-to-end development of large diesel engines with a strong focus on simulation techniques and engineering tools. Your role includes:
- Leading complex projects in diesel engine performance and calibration.
- Performing engine recipe selection using simulation, testing, and engineering tools.
- Managing projects, providing analysis, and driving innovation in processes.
- Collaborating with global teams to assess program requirements and deliver effective solutions.
- Using advanced 1D engine performance simulation tools like GT Power, DYNASTY, or AMESIM for steady state and transient analysis.
- Supporting diesel engine calibration and rating development.
Basic Qualifications
To be considered for this role, you must have:
- A Master’s degree in Mechanical/Aeronautical/Automobile Engineering from an accredited Indian or global institution.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in engine performance, controls development, and simulation.
- Hands-on experience using 1D diesel engine performance tools (GT Power, DYNASTY, AMESIM).
- Exposure to diesel engine calibration and rating development processes.
- Proficiency in tools such as Matlab, Simulink, and Vector-Canape.
- Knowledge of engine CFD tools (Converge, Ansys, Star CCM) will be an added advantage.
- Strong communication skills to interact effectively across global teams, suppliers, and customers.
- Flexibility to travel globally (up to 10% of work time).
