Position Overview
The position of Team Member – Land Acquisition is an integral part of our New Energy business unit. The selected individual will not only be involved in land identification, acquisition, and management of land parcels but also in activities associated with project evaluation, technological assessment, stakeholder coordination, and execution of pilot initiatives.
This role demands a multidisciplinary approach, as it sits at the intersection of project development, technical evaluation, financial analysis, and cross-functional coordination. The candidate should have both the analytical ability to assess emerging technologies and the operational skills to execute projects on the ground.
The location for this role is Navi Mumbai, which is the hub for several of our New Energy initiatives and central to stakeholder coordination.
Key Responsibilities
The responsibilities are designed to ensure that the individual contributes meaningfully to the expansion and operational success of the New Energy business.
- Planning and Implementation
- Develop and implement robust project plans for land acquisition and energy-related initiatives.
- Ensure that projects are executed within agreed timelines and budgetary guidelines.
- Adapt to dynamic project requirements while maintaining focus on structured execution.
- Technology Assessment and Analysis
- Undertake detailed technical and cost-benefit analysis of emerging renewable technologies, ensuring that all proposed solutions align with long-term scalability and sustainability targets.
- Evaluate new commercial technologies for design effectiveness and integration potential.
- Provide management with well-researched insights that help decision-making for adoption of new systems.
- Cross-Functional Coordination
- Collaborate consistently with multiple stakeholders including internal functions, suppliers, vendors, and technology partners.
- Ensure transparency and seamless communication between engineering, procurement, finance, and operations teams.
- Play the role of a connector—bridging the gap between planning and execution.
- Pilot Testing and Validation
- Work on pilot-scale projects and case studies for validation of new energy systems.
- Conduct rigorous testing of prototypes to assess their commercial viability.
- Document learnings from pilot implementations and design recommendations for full-scale rollout.
- Future-Readiness and Innovation
- Stay updated with emerging trends, government policies, and market developments in the energy industry.
- Proactively suggest innovative business and technological solutions that can position the company as a market leader.
- Anticipate challenges in land, regulatory, or technical domains and prepare mitigation strategies.
- Research and Data-Based Decision Making
- Use advanced research methodologies to interpret project and technology-related data.
- Apply statistical techniques and business analytics to draw accurate insights.
- Support leadership teams with reports, presentations, and structured recommendations based on data.
- Reporting and Documentation
- Prepare periodic reports for stakeholders covering operational achievements, project status, technology validation outcomes, and potential risks.
- Produce weekly, monthly, and quarterly summaries for leadership teams.
- Ensure records and documentation are compliant with company requirements as well as government norms.
Educational Qualification
- Graduate or Post-graduate degree from a reputed university or college.
- Preference will be given to candidates with backgrounds in engineering, land management, renewable energy, sustainability, project management, or finance, depending on relevance to project requirements.
Experience Requirement
- Candidates must have 3 to 8 years of relevant experience.
- Hands-on experience in land acquisition for industrial or renewable purposes will be an added advantage.
- Exposure to planning, coordination, and implementation of large-scale projects is desirable.
- Familiarity with renewable energy projects, feasibility studies, or policy frameworks will strengthen suitability.
