Job Description and Responsibilities
This role involves working in a fast-paced global environment supporting new product development (NPD), value analysis and value engineering (VAVE), and product improvement projects. Key responsibilities include:
- Working on concept design, CAD modelling, detailing, and creating Bills of Materials (BOM) using the SolidWorks software platform.
- Designing and developing mechanical parts and assemblies, providing detailed 3D models, drawings, and comprehensive design packages.
- Managing change orders and adhering strictly to organizational quality standards.
- Independently handling design tasks with minimal supervision, while following the company’s project management processes.
- Collaborating across teams and ensuring timely and accurate delivery of design assignments.

Experience and Skills Required
To qualify for this role, candidates should have:
- A Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering with hands-on exposure to design engineering environments.
- Between 1 to 3 years’ experience working on the SolidWorks platform, particularly in the sheet metal domain.
- Good proficiency in 3D modelling and detailing using SolidWorks, along with experience in generating Bills of Materials (BOM).
- Familiarity with Change Order (CO) processes related to designs.
- Experience working with Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) tools like Agile or PD Cloud is advantageous.
